![]() All in all, not disappointed with the choice of this high class resort and recommend for the price of just under 400 bucks per night.in high-season when the rates double, we would opt for another resort. did not golf due to heat/price and only saw a couple people out there on our 10 day stay but course looked immaculate. They tell you that you can use the 200 for a room upgrade and then when you go to the front desk to use them, they tell you that you can only use them for 50% of the cost.annoying. A dollar here and there at the bars/restaurants -the "secrets box" for room service is a nice option for room service and I think it keeps the restaurants less crowded as we heard a lot of people were using that option - spa was nice but VERY expensive - read the fine print on the "$200 USD credit coupons" before subtracting that from your total cost of the trip.we only used 20 dollars worth and spent 180 out of pocket while doing so. I didn't see a lot of tipping but we did because the staff deserved it. We chartered for 250 for 5 hours but that didn't include bait, tips, license, etc. Check the fishing calendars online for season. the fishing is amazing but we chartered our own boat due to the price in San Lucas. We also opted to do the lands end excursion which was only 40 bucks per person and left the resort at 7:40 am and got a boat tour in San Lucas and could hang out until 5pm in town so that is a recommended way to get to town if you wanted to drink/party. Otherwise you can take a shuttle (25 USD/pp) but we could not use because we were the only 2 that signed up.most couples didn't know about it. the nightly entertainment was typical for an all-inclusive in Mexico and better towards the weekends - the 90 minute Ultimate Vacations Club pitch turned into 4 hours but we did get 350 bucks towards spa credit as promised.the hounding for this as we walked daily through the lobby got annoying- start a 90 minute timer and your phone and check out the company on the better business bureau before committing - never waited for a restaurant but facility was only 35% capacity (food was very good but as stated below in other reviews, options for breakfast and lunch were very limited) - the pool was designed perfectly for many people to enjoy whether they wanted peace and quiet or a bit more of a party scene you could do both (it was warm like bath water however in August and everyone commented on this) - one night they take a group into San Jose for a bar crawl but we opted to rent a vehicle and go to San Lucas on multiple days (85 dollars from Avis car rental but you can get there and back without stopping for gas.the tank still was full!). there is a small public beach within walking distance we were told but never visited because it was too hot in late august/sep to walk to it - staff was friendly and excellent - Yaser and Antonio & Karla by the pool bar were the best - the rooms were extremely nice (this resort opened Dec 2013 so still new) - don't waste money on preferred club as rooms are exactly the same with the exception of the tub on the balcony which is smaller than the one in every bathroom - agree with swim-out room comments below, no privacy. don't come here if you are wanting a beach vacation with non motorized water sports included (kayak/sup/snorkel) because they don't have a swimmable beach.we couldn't even walk on it some days. Agree with a lot of the recent comments and won't go into as much detail but here are some brief observations and tips on this resort. never waited for a restaurant but facility was only. the 90 minute Ultimate Vacations Club pitch turned into 4 hours but we did get 350 bucks towards spa credit as promised.the hounding for this as we walked daily through the lobby got annoying- start a 90 minute timer and your phone and check out the company on the better business bureau before committing the nightly entertainment was typical for an all-inclusive in Mexico and better towards the weekends agree with swim-out room comments below, no privacy. don't waste money on preferred club as rooms are exactly the same with the exception of the tub on the balcony which is smaller than the one in every bathroom the rooms were extremely nice (this resort opened Dec 2013 so still new) staff was friendly and excellent - Yaser and Antonio & Karla by the pool bar were the best there is a small public beach within walking distance we were told but never visited because it was too hot in late august/sep to walk to it
